Aranmula vallasadya begins with ceremonial fervour today

Kozhencherry: The well-famed Aranmula vallasadya, a ritual offering to the deity at Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, took off to a festive start on Sunday. The festivities are scheduled till October 2.
Unlike other sadyas, Aranmula vallasadya holds the rarity of serving 64 dishes, including 44 dishes served on banana leaves and 20 others.
The vallasadya rituals will not be held on Thiruvonam and Uthradam days of the Chingam month.
Further, only those devotees who acquire a pass issued by the Palliyoda Seva Sangh are allowed to enter the sadyalaya.
