Nilambur: A spate of allegations has been raised by PV Anvar, MLA, against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his political secretary P. Sasi, and ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar during his two-hour-long press conference. In a no-holds-barred attack against the CM and his associates, Anvar ruthlessly criticized the CPM leadership for not showing political decency regarding his complaints. Through a mix of veiled and direct attacks, Anvar has pushed the CM and the CPM to the wall, challenging them to take action against him.

Anvar stated that the political tactics of the BJP succeeded in Thrissur during the Lok Sabha elections, and no one could blame them for it. “It was their desire to win the seat, and they had worked for it. But, it might be someone who desperately needs some adjustments with the BJP who sent the ADGP to meet the RSS leaders,” Anvar said. “I have no idea who it is. You (reporters) can investigate it,” he added.

“Earlier, during the Chief Minister's press conference, when you asked whether Anvar was behind this (gold smuggling), didn’t the Chief Minister say that you should investigate? Likewise, you should find out who needs to ensure a seat for the BJP in Kerala,” Anvar said.

Anvar also leveled a serious allegation regarding the death of former CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. “A comrade from Kannur called me and expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the death and funeral of Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The comrade said that Kodiyeri’s mortal remains were not exhibited at the AKG Centre. The remains were taken straight to Kannur to make it convenient for Pinarayi and his family to go for a European tour on the same evening,” Anvar said.

“Had comrade Kodiyeri Balakrishnan been alive, I would not have to conduct a press conference like this,” Anvar remarked.

Anvar also announced that he would not participate in the LDF parliamentary party meetings in the future. “I am not sure whether I will be able to speak in the assembly again. My assembly is here,” he said. He also stated that he would call a public meeting to explain his political stance to the people of Nilambur on Sunday.
