Angry old lady hurls stone at private bus in Thrissur

Pazhayannur: An old woman hurled a stone at a private bus breaking the window glass. The incident happened around 3:30 PM on Monday in Pazhayannur, near the Cheerakuzhy IHRD college.

The woman, who is a native of Pazhayannur, had boarded a private bus heading towards Ottapalam along with her daughter. The duo wanted to get down at a place besides the veterinary hospital. However, since it was not a designated bus stop, they were dropped off 300 metres away.

Infuriated by the act of the bus employee, the old lady threw a stone at the glass structure on the backside of the bus, breaking it instantly. Luckily no one was injured in the incident. The bus halted service post the incident and called police to the spot.

Pazhayannur SI DS Anand talked to both the bus employees and the old lady. The woman upon realising her mistake, gave some money as compensation to the bus employees. 

The bus started from the place only after settlement was done.
