Altercation leads to petrol bomb attack at Bevco outlet in Ravipuram, two injured

Kochi: A violent incident occurred at the Kerala State Beverages (M&M) Corporation Limited outlet in Ravipuram when individuals, who had come to purchase alcohol, resorted to throwing a petrol bomb, injuring two. The incident took place on Friday afternoon, resulting in chaos and panic. Sonu Kumar, a resident of Edavanakkad, was apprehended by the police in connection with the altercation.
Sonu and his friend Boney had visited the Bevco outlet to buy liquor. However, an argument ensued between Sonu and the female employees of Bevco. Subsequently, the employees filed a complaint, leading to the police intervening and taking Sonu into custody from the outlet.
"Police took Kumar into custody while the other person got away. Later, he came and threw the beer bottle filled with petrol, injuring two persons," a police official told PTI.
