ADM Naveen Babu's wife requests job change, cites mental strain after husband’s passing

Konni: Manjusha, wife of late Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Naveen Babu, on Saturday submitted a request to the Revenue Department seeking reassignment of her current position as Tehsildar.
Manjusha, who currently holds the post of Tehsildar in Konni stated that the role is of serious nature and requires huge responsibilities. She explained that given her current circumstances, she would not be able to fulfill the duties expected in her present position. In her petition, She requested a transfer to the post of Senior Superintendent in the Collectorate or a similar rank.
She is presently on leave and is scheduled to resume duties in the first week of December. It is believed that the Revenue Department will give favourable consideration to her application. The service associations also support her opinion and have expressed willingness to stand by Manjusha in her request for reassignment. If approved, she may begin her new role upon her return next month.
Background of the case
Manjusha's request comes in the wake of a tragic incident involving her husband, Naveen Babu, who was serving as the ADM in Kannur. Originally from Malayapuzha in Pathanamthitta, Naveen was found dead in his quarters on October 16.
It is alleged that he took his own life after a humiliating remark was made by PP Divya, former Kannur District Panchayat president, during a farewell ceremony hosted by his colleagues.
PP Divya was subsequently arrested on October 29 in connection with the incident. She was granted bail in the case on November 3.
