Actress Shwetha Menon faces legal action over alleged obscene film scenes and ads

Kochi: The Ernakulam Central Police have registered a case against noted actress Shwetha Menon following a court directive, over allegations of acting in pornographic scenes for financial gain.
The case was filed under the provisions of the Prohibition of Obscenity Act and the Information Technology Act, based on a complaint lodged by Martin Menachery.
The First Information Report (FIR) alleges that the actress appeared in films and advertisements featuring nudity with the alleged intention of financial benefit, and that such scenes were disseminated via social media and adult websites for profit.
The complaint specifically points to Shwetha Menon's roles in films such as Rathinirvedam, Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha and Kalimannu, along with her appearance in a condom advertisement, as examples of allegedly obscene content.
