Actor Sidharth Prabhu detained after car hits pedestrian in Kottayam

Kottayam, Kerala: A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car driven by TV serial actor Sidharth Prabhu on the MC Road here on Wednesday night.

The incident happened around 8.30 pm. There are complaints that the actor assaulted local residents and argued with police who questioned him following the accident.

The car, driven by Sidharth and travelling from the Kottayam side, reportedly went out of control and hit the pedestrian. According to complaints, when locals rushed to help the injured person, Sidharth allegedly manhandled them.

The actor also reportedly had a verbal altercation with the police who arrived at the scene. Police took him into custody using force and produced him for medical examination. The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media. A visual shows the actor lying on the road and arguing with the locals.
