Relative of actor Mathew Thomas dies in accident, parents injured

Kochi: Young actor Mathew Thomas’ family was involved in a road accident when the jeep they traveled in overturned. The deceased has been identified as Beena Daniel (61), a retired teacher.

Beena was rushed to the hospital but her life could not be saved. Mathew's father Biju, mother Susan and  Beena's husband Saju were admitted to hospital with injuries

The incident happened around 1 am on Wednesday. They were returning from attending the posthumous ceremony of their relative. The jeep overturned into a gutter on the national highway in Sasthamugal which was under construction.

Mathew's brother John was driving the vehicle. His injuries are not serious.
