‘Acquire and hand over land for railway line doubling; PM will take care of the rest,’ says Suresh Gopi

Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi stated that not only those who win elections but also those who lose must actively participate in development initiatives. He emphasised that the people truly benefit when both victors and defeated candidates work together in unity.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the newly renovated Chirayinkeezhu Railway Station, upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Expressing satisfaction, Suresh Gopi said he was pleased to learn that the development witnessed over the past decade had motivated both the local MLA and MP. He assured that if further development is required in Chirayinkeezhu, the matter would be taken up with the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister to ensure its implementation.
Referring to the operational challenges posed by the running of Vande Bharat Express trains, Gopi acknowledged that there are instances where local trains are being disrupted. He suggested that the solution lies in doubling the railway line, and added that once the necessary land is acquired and handed over, the current Prime Minister has the determination to implement such projects effectively.
At the event, Suresh Gopi also paid tribute to brave soldiers who have rendered commendable service to the nation. He distributed prizes to children who had excelled in various competitions.
Adoor Prakash MP, V. Sasi MLA, and other dignitaries were also present at the function.
