Kochi: In yet another instance of reckless behavior on the road, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has suspended a man’s driving license for violating traffic rules by filming a reel while sitting in the open trunk of a moving car. The incident took place on the busy Seaport-Airport Road.

As the act unfolded in front of MVD officials, one of them recorded it on video. Following this, the driving license of Amal Dev from Wayanad, who was driving the car, was suspended.

According to MVD officials, Amal Dev was behind the wheel while two of his friends positioned themselves dangerously in the open trunk, capturing visuals of a luxury car. MVD inspector Asim recorded the violation in real time using his mobile phone.

The incident occurred near the driving test ground on Seaport-Airport Road. Officials stated that the two individuals in the trunk were at serious risk, as they could have fallen onto the road if the car ahead had applied sudden brakes.

Authorities confirmed that those involved were professionals engaged in the production of reels.
