Age is just a number: At 75, Kozhikode native Sreedharan graduates as lawyer for the 2nd time

Kozhikode: At the age of 75, Ayedath Sreedharan from Kakur, in Kerala's Kozhikode, has shown that it’s never too late to pursue new knowledge. A retired teacher, Sreedharan completed his three-year law studies and recently graduated with an LLB degree, proving that age is no obstacle to learning.
Sreedharan’s journey to becoming a lawyer started after he retired from his 36-year teaching career at Kuttamboor High School. He decided to return to school and study law at Markaz Law College, even after having previously completed an LLB from JSS College in Mysore in 1988. Despite being much older than his classmates, Sreedharan was always active, attending classes, participating in discussions, and even socialising with classmates who were less than half his age. Whether at the campus verandah, the bus stop, or Pilla chettan’s tea shop after class, he was fully immersed in the student life.
Aiming to help those in need
Now that he has completed his studies, Sreedharan plans to enrol in the High Court and use his legal expertise to assist those facing legal challenges, particularly women in need of support. His commitment to helping others remains strong, and he hopes to provide legal aid to those who struggle to access justice.
Sreedharan is supported by his wife Radha, also a retired teacher, and their family, including children RS Varun and Vanishree, daughter-in-law Bhavya, and grandson Aman Bhagat.
