4 tourists from Kerala among five people killed in Zojila Pass road accident : Report

Srinagar: Four Malayalis were among five tourists reportedly killed in a road accident in the Zojila Pass area connecting Ladakh region with the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Palakkad natives Sudeesh, Anil, Rahul and Vignesh, and Ajaz Ahmed, a native of Kashmir and the driver of the vehicle.

A vehicle carrying the tourists fell into a deep gorge here after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

After learning of the accident, police promptly began a relief and rescue operation. More details awaited.
