3 children on bike crash into elderly man, killing him in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: A 70-year-old man was killed after a motorcycle allegedly driven at high speed by three school students hit him in Atholi, Kozhikode. The deceased has been identified as Saithalavi of Eyyappakandi, Atholi. The incident occurred on Friday evening.

The three students had reportedly arrived on the motorcycle from Kothankal High School, where an arts festival was underway, when they hit Saithalavi as he was walking along the road. The impact threw him to a considerable distance. The motorcycle did not stop and continued on its way.

One of the three students was also thrown off the motorcycle and suffered injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment. A subsequent investigation led to the identification of the other two students who were on the motorcycle.

CCTV footage of the accident has also emerged.
