Fake currency notes seized in Kasaragod, 2 held

Sulthan Bathery: Police nabbed two men on Friday in connection with the seizure of counterfeit currency amounting to Rs 7.25 crores from a rented house in Kasaragod.
According to the police, the persons arrested are Abdul Razaq and Sulaiman, both hailing from Kasaragod. Sulthan Bathery Police arrested the duo from a private homestay in Pazhupathur, Wayanad on Friday.
The fake currency notes of Rs 2000 denomination, stored in large sacks, were seized from a rented house in Parappally, Ambalathara, near Kanhangad on Wednesday evening.
The house was rented by Abdul Razaq. Though the police had tried to get in touch with him, they couldn’t get him over phone.
