'Rewards for mining licence, clean chit in Lavalin case': Kuzhalnadan, Shaun George attack Kerala CM

Kochi: Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan and Kerala Janapaksham (Secular) leader PC George’s son Shaun George on Tuesday leveled allegations against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Kuzhalnadan alleged that CM is the real culprit in the Cochin Minerals and Rutiles Ltd pay-off case. According to Mathew, CM’s daughter Veena Vijayan received monthly pay-offs after Vijayan was sworn into power. The CM allegedly diluted the mining policy to favour CMRL and the latter paid the money to Veena as a reward. CMRL wanted to regain the lost mining license and Vijayan aided them, Kuzhalnadan claimed.
Meanwhile, Shaun alleged that R Mohan--a former official of the Income Tax department, who had given a clean chit to Vijayan in the SNC-Lavalin corruption case, was inducted into CM's personal staff. Shaun claimed that induction was a reward. Shaun, who recently joined the BJP, noted that he will write to the union government, seeking a probe into all Vijayan-related cases, including SNC-Lavalin corruption.
