Noida: A Noida-based home salon service company, YesMadam has come under fire for laying off more than 100 employees following a mental health survey.

The company conducted the survey a few days ago to assess the mental well-being of its employees. Those identified as experiencing mental stress were reportedly terminated en masse. The employees learned about their termination through an email. Anushka Dutta, a former UX copywriter at YesMadam, shared a screenshot of the email sent by the HR manager.

The email began by acknowledging the concerns raised during the survey, leading employees to expect steps to alleviate workplace stress. However, instead of implementing supportive measures, the company’s decision to terminate employees came as a shocking blow.

The mass layoffs have sparked widespread outrage on social media. Critics have called the move inhumane, accusing the company of playing with employees’ careers. Some remarked, “No wonder everyone is stressed,” highlighting the irony of the situation.

The incident has raised serious questions about workplace ethics and the treatment of employees dealing with mental health challenges.
