Bollywood singer and songwriter Yasser Desai and two of his associates have been booked by Mumbai Police for allegedly performing a life-threatening stunt by climbing onto the edge of the Bandra Worli Sea Link. The incident, which reportedly occurred on Wednesday, came to light after a video of Desai standing precariously on the bridge's edge went viral on social media.

According to officials, an onlooker witnessed Desai climbing onto the sea link's edge while two of his associates filmed the act. After completing the stunt, the group reportedly left the bridge in their car.

The vigilant onlooker, who had recorded the incident, promptly sent the video to Mumbai Police.

What is the case against Yasser Desai?

Investigators used the car's license plate visible in the video to trace the individuals involved. The probe revealed that the man performing the dangerous stunt was indeed singer Yasser Desai.

On Tuesday, Bandra police registered a case against Desai and his two associates. They face charges under sections 285 (danger or obstruction in public way), 281 (rash driving), 125 (endangering life or personal safety of others), and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Police officials have stated they are now attempting to contact the singer and his associates to initiate further legal action in the case.
