A video from the Taj Mahal has gone viral online, showing a group of foreign tourists donning Indian wedding attire during their visit to the iconic monument. The clip, filmed at what appears to be the Mihman Khana or Darwaza-i-Rauza section of the site, has sparked a mix of amusement and admiration on social media.

India’s vibrant cultural heritage often inspires visitors from around the world to embrace its traditions, and this group was no exception. The men were seen wearing traditional kurta-pyjamas paired with colourful safas, headgear commonly worn at Indian weddings, while the women chose elegant sarees for their tour.

The text overlay on the video read, “Bichare foreigners ko Indian traditional kapdon ke naam par shaadi ke kapde kaun pehnata hai (Who makes these poor foreigners wear wedding clothes in the name of traditional Indian attire?).” The humorous caption added to the clip’s virality, as users flooded the comments section with reactions.

One Instagram user wrote, “How innocent they are,” while another commented, “And they’re so respectful of the culture.” A third user quipped, “Japanese baraat.” Others joined in with light-hearted remarks such as “Imagine them thinking: Why is no one else dressed like us?” and “Shahjahan ki baraat nikal di (They’ve taken out Shahjahan’s wedding procession!).”

Some users were impressed by the gesture, calling it a sign of respect. “There is nothing to laugh about. They are respecting our culture,” one comment read. Another added, “They are actually wearing Indian cultural dresses.”

Among the humorous takes were several witty observations: “C’mon, they are visiting a palace, Attire has to be royal,” one wrote. Another joked, “Nobita ka sehra suhana lagta hai, Shizuka ka dil deewana lagta hai (Nobita’s wedding turban looks charming, and Shizuka’s heart seems lovestruck),” while someone else shared, “Esa lg rha hai sab tajmahal me baarat me aaye hai (It looks like everyone has come to the Taj Mahal for a wedding procession).”

In another round of reactions to a similar post, one user commented, “Bas pagdi utar de bhai (Just take off the turban, bro).” Some pointed out that “pagdi is Indian culture bhai, ab ni phn re alag baat hai but shadi ka ni hai ye (The turban is part of Indian culture, bro. It’s a different matter that people don’t wear it much now, but it’s not just for weddings).”

The video adds to a growing trend of international visitors embracing Indian customs and attire as part of their travel experience. Recently, another viral clip showed an American bride who surprised her Indian groom by wearing a traditional lehenga instead of a white gown at their wedding, a gesture widely celebrated online for symbolising cross-cultural respect.
