Vijay Varma targets Dharmendra Pradhan, Gajendra Chauhan with 'Do bhai dono tabahi' jab

Actor Vijay Varma has joined the growing chorus of celebrities backing activist Sonam Wangchuk, taking a sharp swipe at Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and senior BJP leader Gajendra Chauhan in his latest social media post.
Known for his performances in 'Darlings' (2022) and 'Gully Boy' (2018), Varma shared a side-by-side collage of Pradhan and Chauhan on Instagram.
He captioned it, "Do bhai dono tabahi. Literally.", in an apparent criticism of the two BJP leaders.
Chauhan, best known for playing Yudhishthira in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat', was at the centre of the 2015-16 FTII controversy after the Centre appointed him chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India.
The move triggered a 139-day student strike, with protesters arguing that Chauhan lacked the artistic credentials and vision to lead the premier film institute.
Varma's post comes amid widespread outrage over the treatment of Sonam Wangchuk.
Several Bollywood personalities have publicly expressed support for the activist after he was taken into custody from Delhi's Jantar Mantar while on an indefinite hunger strike. Wangchuk was later shifted to Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors said he remains stable but requires continuous medical observation.
Among those backing Wangchuk are Zeenat Aman, Prakash Raj, Chinmayi Sripaada, Omi Vaidya, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, Atul Kulkarni, Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, who have either voiced support online or visited the protest site, bringing wider attention to the movement and its demands for accountability and education reforms.
