Veteran journalist and author K Govindan Kutty passes away

Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran journalist and author K Govindan Kutty passed away here on Wednesday night.

He had a long and distinguished career with leading media organisations, including the Indian Express and India Today, and left a significant mark on both journalism and the literary world.

He authored several books in English and Malayalam. His notable works include ‘An Intimate Story’, a biography of TN Seshan; the Malayalam title Kalakshepam (Time Pass); and books on former finance minister KM Mani and former Chief Minister K. Karunakaran.

He was the journalist who broke the news of the air crash involving the aircraft carrying then Prime Minister Morarji Desai at Jorhat, Assam.
