Telangana CM Revanth Reddy orders urgent relief operations after Rangareddy bus accident

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed deep grief over the fatal road accident that took place in Chevella mandal of Rangareddy district. He instructed officials to rush to the site and initiate immediate relief and rescue operations, ensuring that full details of the incident are reported without delay.
The Chief Minister held phone discussions with the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Chief Secretary (CS), directing them to carry out relief operations on a war footing and to deploy all relevant departments to the scene. He also ordered that the injured be evacuated to Hyderabad without delay and provided with the best possible medical treatment.
Reddy further instructed for sufficient ambulances and medical teams to be deployed to save the injured. He urged ministers present in the area to reach the accident site immediately and oversee ongoing efforts. A control room has been set up in the state Secretariat to monitor the situation.
Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, as well as joint Rangareddy District In-charge Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, also expressed deep shock over the accident. District authorities, including the Collector and senior police officials, were promptly alerted to investigate the circumstances of the crash and the condition of the victims.
Officials were told to personally supervise rescue operations and ensure that all affected individuals receive full government support. The medical department has been instructed to provide enhanced care to those injured at the Chevella Government Hospital, while a teleconference was held with senior officials to coordinate the response.
The Managing Director of the Road Transport Corporation (RTC), the Transport Commissioner, and the Director General of Fire Services were directed to reach the site and oversee operations.
According to police, the accident occurred when a tipper lorry coming from the wrong side collided head-on with the bus, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries. The government has assured full assistance to all affected individuals and their families.
