Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday terminated the services of five government employees amid allegations of links with terrorist groups.

The action is part of a broader effort to dismantle the “roots of the terror ecosystem and its infrastructure within government machinery,” an official said.

The employees dismissed include:

  • Mohammad Ishfaq, a teacher
  • Tariq Ahmad Shah, a laboratory technician
  • Bashir Ahmad Mir, an assistant lineman
  • Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a field worker in the Forest Department
  • Mohammad Yousuf, a driver in the Health Department

An official noted that the LG administration has already sacked a total of 85 government employees suspected of working for terrorist organisations.
