Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan has found herself in the middle of a real estate controversy after purchasing agricultural land in Maharashtra’s Alibaug region without the necessary permissions.

According to officials, Suhana allegedly acquired farmland in Thal village—land originally allocated by the government exclusively for agricultural use. Reports suggest the 23-year-old starlet failed to complete mandatory clearances before sealing the deal.

The disputed property, valued at ₹12.91 crore, was purchased from the Khote family of Mumbai’s upscale Cuffe Parade locality. Suhana reportedly paid a stamp duty of ₹77.46 lakh, and the transaction was executed on May 30, 2023, through Standard Chartered Bank.

Taking cognisance of the matter, the Resident Deputy Commissioner of Police has sought a detailed inquiry from the Alibaug tehsildar. An impartial investigation is now underway to determine the legality of the transfer.

This development comes as Suhana prepares for her big-screen outing in ‘King’, her second film after the much-criticised Netflix release ‘The Archies’, which failed to impress both audiences and critics.

The upcoming father-daughter project has already made headlines for another reason—Shah Rukh Khan’s on-set injury. The superstar reportedly hurt his arm while performing an intense action sequence. SRK had to abandon filming midway and undergo a medical procedure before reappearing in public, wearing a sling.

Soon after, he addressed fans through Instagram, where he expressed gratitude upon receiving his first-ever National Award in 33 years of his career, calling it one of the most emotional moments of his journey.
