Landmine blast: Agniveer jawan dies, JCO among two injured near LoC in Jammu and Kashmir

Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir): An Indian Army soldier was killed and two others injured in a landmine blast during an area domination patrol along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Friday, officials said.
The explosion occurred in the Krishna Ghati sector, claiming the life of Agniveer Lalit Kumar from the 7 JAT Regiment. Two other personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were wounded in the incident.
Officials confirmed that the injured jawans were immediately evacuated and admitted to a military hospital, where they are currently reported to be in stable condition.
Army pays tribute to fallen soldier
In a post on X, the White Knight Corps said: “GOC White Knight Corps and all ranks pay solemn tribute to Agniveer Lalit Kumar of 7 JAT Regiment, who made the supreme sacrifice while on an area domination patrol in the general area of Krishna Ghati brigade, following a mine blast.”
The statement added, “We stand with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.”
