Six killed, eight injured as bus collides with auto-rickshaw in Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu

Palnadu, Andhra Pradesh: Six people were killed on the spot and eight others suffered serious injuries after a private travel bus collided with an auto-rickshaw near Adda Road in Chilakaluripet, Palnadu district, on Wednesday.

The crash occurred when the private bus was travelling from Vijayawada towards Chennai and collided with an auto-rickshaw headed from Konda Manjuru towards Velluru Junction.

The impact proved fatal for six people, while eight others were left injured. Two of the injured are reportedly in critical condition.

The accident triggered an immediate emergency response, with 108 personnel and police teams rushing to the site after receiving information about the collision.

Rescue teams pulled the injured out of the vehicles and shifted them to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police have since launched an investigation to establish how the collision occurred. The identities of the deceased and further details surrounding the circumstances of the accident are awaited.

As authorities piece together the events leading to the crash, the fatal collision has left six families mourning and several others waiting anxiously for the recovery of their injured loved ones.
