Raj Kundra offers kidney to Premanand Maharaj amid ₹60 crore fraud case: WATCH

Vrindavan: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra recently visited the ashram of spiritual guru Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan. A video from the visit has gone viral, capturing the emotional moment when Kundra offered one of his kidneys to the guru, who revealed he has been living with kidney failure for the past 10 years.

Raj Kundra’s Heartfelt Gesture

In the video, Kundra is heard telling Premanand Maharaj, “I’ve been following you for the past two years. Your videos have always answered my questions and fears. You’re an inspiration. I know about your health condition, and if I can help, one of my kidneys is yours.”

Premanand Maharaj, moved by the offer, replied, “It’s enough for me that you stay happy. Until the call comes, we won’t leave this world because of a kidney. But I accept your goodwill from the heart.” Watch the video here:

Shilpa Shetty was also seen interacting with the guru, asking about the spiritual benefits of chanting ‘Radha’. The guru responded that the chant can help her overcome personal difficulties.

Visit Comes Amid Fraud Allegations

The couple’s ashram visit comes at a time when they are embroiled in a ₹60 crore cheating case. Businessman Deepak Kothari has accused them of allegedly defrauding him between 2015 and 2023.

According to ANI, the complaint was filed at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in Mumbai.

Lawyer Denies Charges

Their lawyer, Prashant Patil, issued a statement calling the case “baseless and malicious.” He clarified that the NCLT Mumbai had already adjudicated the matter in October 2024 and that a liquidation order was in place. Patil further claimed that the company’s chartered accountants had visited the police station over 15 times in the past year, presenting all relevant evidence, and accused the complainant of attempting to malign his clients’ image.
