PM Modi, Uzbek President Mirziyoyev hold 'fruitful' phone call on bilateral ties

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke over the phone with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focusing on the progress made in key areas of bilateral cooperation. Modi described the exchange as “fruitful,” noting their mutual commitment to deepening ties.
“We reviewed the progress achieved in key areas of our bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed our shared resolve to further advance the India–Uzbekistan Strategic Partnership,” Modi said on X.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership across sectors such as trade, connectivity, health, technology, and people-to-people exchanges. They also touched upon regional and global developments of mutual concern. Both leaders reiterated their intention to maintain regular communication to ensure continued momentum in advancing the India–Uzbekistan relationship.
