‘Commit to restore peace’: PM Modi and UAE President on Strait of Hormuz and security in West Asia

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday, discussing the current situation in West Asia.
PM Modi reiterated India’s strong condemnation of all attacks on the UAE that resulted in loss of life and damage to civilian infrastructure.
The two leaders agreed on the importance of ensuring safe and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and emphasised continuing cooperation for the early restoration of peace, security, and stability in the region.
During the phone call, PM Modi also conveyed advance Eid greetings to the UAE President.
