Pen drives containing sexual abuse footage widely spread: Timeline of Prajwal Revanna case

Bengaluru: Prajwal Revanna has been sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of ₹11 lakh in a rape case involving a 47-year-old woman. Judgements in three more cases against him are still pending. The verdict was delivered by Special Court Judge Santosh Gajanan Bhatt.
The case pertains to two instances of rape that allegedly took place in 2021—once at a guesthouse in Gannikada, Hassan and again at Prajwal’s residence in Bengaluru. The survivor had also alleged that Prajwal recorded videos of the assaults. These explicit videos were reportedly leaked and circulated through thousands of pen drives.
