He promised a comeback and today it's true; Omar Abdullah’s tweet goes viral 10 years later

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah and his party the National Conference have achieved a stunning victory in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. It is also indicated that Omar is likely to be the next Chief Minister. Now, a previous social media post of his is being widely celebrated by party supporters and others.

The post that is currently attracting attention was made by Omar on Twitter after his heavy defeat in the 2014 Assembly elections. At that time, he had posted, "Be calm, for I shall return.” 

Many of his supporters on social media now feel that his promised comeback has finally happened.

In the elections held five years after the abrogation of Article 370, the National Conference–Congress alliance secured 48 seats. Of the 51 seats contested by the National Conference, they won 42, while the Congress, which contested 32 seats, won 6.

Omar Abdullah contested two constituencies and won in both. He was in fray in the Budgam and Ganderbal constituencies.
