New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a rise in the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075, starting from the 2026–27 financial year. This ₹75 hike is a routine adjustment made under the National Highways Fee Rules, 2008, which allows for annual revisions based on inflation and the Wholesale Price Index (WPI).

The new price of ₹3,075 becomes mandatory on April 1, 2026. Commuters who wish to save on the hike can renew or purchase their passes at the current rate of ₹3,000 until midnight on March 31.

Who is eligible for this pass?

The FASTag Annual Pass is exclusively designed for private, non-commercial vehicles (cars, jeeps, and vans). To avail of the pass, your vehicle must have a valid and active FASTag linked to it. Currently, more than 56 lakh users are benefiting from this facility across India.

How does the Annual Pass work?

The pass is built for convenience, allowing regular commuters to bypass the hassle of frequent recharges. Once activated:

It remains valid for one year or for up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever happens first.

It is accepted at approximately 1,150 fee plazas on national highways and expressways nationwide.

Once you pay the one-time fee, the pass is typically activated on your existing FASTag within two hours.

How to purchase or renew the pass?

The NHAI has made the process entirely digital to ensure a seamless experience. You can manage your pass-through:

  • The Rajmarg Yatra App: The official mobile application for highway users.
  • NHAI Official Website: Users can log in using their vehicle registration and mobile number to make the payment via UPI, credit/debit cards, or net banking.
