NEET retest on June 21: Railways run special trains; States offer free bus travel

New Delhi: With the NEET retest scheduled for June 21, authorities across the country have rolled out special travel arrangements to help candidates reach their examination centres without inconvenience.
The Indian Railways has announced special train services on key routes, while several state governments have introduced free bus travel for students appearing for the medical entrance examination. Candidates can avail the free bus facility by showing their NEET admit card while boarding.
Railways introduce special trains for NEET aspirants
To cater to the increased travel demand on examination day, special trains will operate on select routes connecting major examination centres.
Bhopal-Ratlam special train
Train No. 09353 will depart from Bhopal at 7.40 pm on June 20 and arrive in Ratlam at 12.55 am on June 21.
During its journey, the train will halt at Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Sehore, Shujalpur, Maksi, Ujjain and Nagda stations.
The special service has been planned considering the large number of candidates appearing for the examination in Bhopal. According to officials, 13,774 students are expected to take the test in the city, making it one of the busiest NEET centres in the country.
Rourkela-Tatanagar special train
Special Train No. 68044 will operate between Rourkela and Tatanagar on June 21.
The train is scheduled to leave Rourkela at 5.10 am and reach Tatanagar at 9.20 am, providing candidates with a convenient travel option on the day of the examination.
States offering free bus travel for NEET candidates
Several state governments have also announced free transportation for students travelling to examination centres.
Candidates can travel free of cost on government-run buses by producing their NEET admit card.

Officials said the special arrangements are aimed at ensuring students can reach their examination venues on time and without unnecessary stress.
Railway authorities have deployed additional personnel at stations linked to major examination centres and have put measures in place to ensure smooth train operations on June 21.
NEET remains one of India's most competitive entrance examinations, with lakhs of students appearing each year for admission to undergraduate medical courses across the country.
