LPG price cut July: Commercial gas cylinders become cheaper by up to ₹183.50

Businesses using commercial LPG cylinders have received a big cost relief at the start of July, as oil marketing companies reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by up to ₹183.50 from July 1.
The latest revision is expected to lower operating expenses for restaurants, hotels, eateries and other establishments that rely heavily on commercial cooking gas. The reduction comes after several months of periodic price adjustments in the commercial LPG segment.
Households, however, will not see any immediate change in their cooking gas bills. The price of the widely used 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder has been left untouched in the latest revision and continues at existing rates.
Who benefits from the LPG price cut?
The biggest beneficiaries of the latest reduction are commercial users, including:
- Restaurants and food outlets
- Hotels and catering businesses
- Tea shops and small eateries
- Commercial kitchens and canteens
A lower commercial LPG price could help ease input costs for businesses, particularly those in the hospitality and food service sectors.
