Kerala nurses who tested Corona +ve in Delhi allege apathy from hospital authorities

Delhi: Nurses who have been tested positive for coronavirus in Delhi’s cancer institute alleged that they are not given treatment for the disease. They have filed a complaint saying that the hospital authorities are not providing them treatment or any sort of help.

“We did not even get an ambulance to go to the hospital. So we had to go to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital in a private vehicle, along with my children.  I am staying in the hospital with my children who are eight and four years old,” said one of the nurses who tested positive.

The nurse carried out the test by herself after another staff in the hospital tested positive for the virus.  The test was conducted on April 3 and the result came out only the other day.

Meanwhile, she also asked the Kerala Chief Minister to interfere in the issue and ask Delhi government to take appropriate measures. Veena George MLA, in response, said that the Chief Minister’s office is in touch with the Delhi government and that steps will be taken to ensure the treatment of the nurses who have tested positive for coronavirus.
