Kejriwal moves Delhi HC challenging arrest by CBI

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has moved to the High Court challenging his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and remand order in connection with the money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped policy. The AAP leader was sent to judicial custody till July 12. 

Kejriwal was produced in court by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on June 29 after the expiry of his three-day custodial interrogation where CBI sought 14-day judicial custody.

In CBI's remand application they stated that the AAP chief was not cooperating with the investigation and gave evasive replies contrary to the evidence on record. It also mentioned that Kejriwal is a very influential person and they believe he may influence the witnesses and evidence already exposed before him during the custodial interrogation and also the potential witnesses, who are yet to be examined.
