Bengaluru: In a disturbing event, a man was brutally killed with machetes by a group of attackers inside a bakery in Koppal district, Karnataka. The incident took place on May 31 and was reportedly linked to a property dispute. CCTV footage of the incident has been seized by police.

About the attack: The horrifying murder occurred at a bakery near Sindhanur Circle, situated less than a kilometer from the local police station. CCTV footage captured the brutal killing of 35-year-old Channappa Husenappa Narinal, a daily-wage laborer, on Saturday night around 10 PM.

The video shows the victim screaming and attempting to escape into the bakery while being attacked by several individuals. At least two men can be seen assaulting him with machetes, while another struck him on the head with a wooden log.

As Narinal tried to evade his attackers, visible cut marks appeared on his exposed upper body, with the assailants targeting his neck, head, back, and limbs.

The victim was seen running in circles within the bakery as the attackers relentlessly pursued him, continuing to slash at him with their weapons.

Moments later, Narinal escaped from the bakery but was confronted by two to three men who repeatedly stabbed him until he became unresponsive. The assailants then quickly left the crime scene.

Police action: The police have charged all the suspects with murder, criminal conspiracy, and assisting in a crime with shared intent. They suspect that the assault was planned, resulting from a long-standing property dispute.

The complainant, Durugappa Narinal, the older brother of the victim, informed the police that his family was involved in a property conflict with another family. He also mentioned that one of the main suspects, Ravi Narinal, had recently made direct threats to kill a member of their family.
