‘Join BJP or face trouble’: CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke alleges threats to family, slams police brutality

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra): Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), launched a scathing attack on the Central Government on Thursday, revealing that he faced intense coercion and political intimidation during recent student demonstrations.

Speaking to reporters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dipke claimed he was repeatedly warned that his family would suffer severe repercussions if he refused to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Allegations of direct threat and intimidation

Addressing media queries regarding his safety, Dipke expressed shock that high-ranking constitutional figures were allegedly being invoked to intimidate student activists.
 

“I was repeatedly threatened during the agitation and told that if I did not join the BJP, my family would face trouble,” Dipke stated. “It is shameful that a student like me is receiving threats linked to those occupying high constitutional offices like the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. What is the dignity of such positions if they are used to intimidate young citizens?”

Rejecting accusations that he was misguiding the youth, Dipke affirmed that demanding accountability, fighting for educational rights and defending constitutional democracy do not amount to corrupting values, promising to continue his struggle regardless of pressure.

Police crackdown, 'belt guns' and Bihar clashes

Refuting official denials regarding police violence during student demonstrations, Dipke alleged severe state-sponsored force against demonstrators. He claimed to have personally visited hospitals in Bihar, where he saw students recovering from serious injuries caused by heavy weaponry.

Deployment of excessive force: Dipke alleged that weapons like 'belt guns' and AK-47s, typically reserved for counter-terrorism, were deployed against unarmed student protesters, leaving several with permanent vision loss.

Home Ministry is responsible: Supporting allegations raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Dipke asserted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah bears direct responsibility for police action and firing incidents during the protests, as law enforcement agencies report directly to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Foreign funding claims dismissed: Responding to insinuations of external backing, Dipke noted that if student movements had indeed received foreign funding, it would represent a catastrophic failure of the nation's internal security apparatus under the Home Ministry.

Responding to political comments by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, Dipke advised him to focus on Patanjali product quality instead of lecturing youth. Referring to recent Supreme Court observations on misleading claims, Dipke remarked that “Gen Z can manage democracy and culture quite well, while Baba Ramdev should worry about faulty Patanjali products shutting down”.

Calling the new Education Minister a mere “replacement copy”, Dipke accused the government of shielding individuals accused of sexual assault while greeting student protesters with batons and bullets.

Highlighting systemic paper leaks under the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), Dipke pointed out that while political rallies and election trains operate seamlessly, students travelling from remote districts to write recruitment exams are forced to sleep on footpaths without food. He alleged that leaders remain indifferent because their own children study abroad.

Concluding his address, Dipke reiterated his unwavering faith in the Constitution drafted by Dr B R Ambedkar and the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, declaring that he would fight for student rights purely through democratic means.
