Engineering student commits suicide after JEE failure, leaves heartbreaking 'sorry' note for parents

An 18-year-old engineering student, Aditi, tragically took her own life after failing to meet her expectations in the recently declared JEE results. Devastated by the outcome, Aditi, who had been preparing for two years at the Momentum Coaching Center in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, hanged herself on Wednesday.
A suicide note was found in her room, revealing the depth of her despair. The note read, "Sorry mummy papa, forgive me... I could not do it... this was the end of our relationship... you guys don't cry... you gave me a lot of love. I could not fulfill your dreams... you guys please take care of Choti... she will definitely fulfill your dreams. Your beloved daughter - Aditi."
Aditi, who had been living in the Satyadeep Girls Hostel spoke to her parents earlier that morning. At that time, Aditi appeared visibly dejected, and soon after, her roommate left the room. Upon returning, the roommate found Aditi hanging from a noose made of a stole. The shocked roommate immediately alerted the hostel warden, who then contacted the police.
Police investigations revealed the contents of Aditi’s suicide note. Her parents, residents of Mishraulia village in Sant Kabir Nagar district, were informed of the tragic incident. The body has been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death, with the Superintendent of Police (City), Abhinav Tyagi, stating that the official cause will be confirmed after the postmortem report.
