'It’s been 3 years, didn’t get any land': Rishabh Pant urges Uttarakhand CM to help him shift base

Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has made a public appeal to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, seeking help with acquiring land as he looks to shift his base from Delhi to his native state.

In a post addressed to Dhami on X, Pant said he had been trying to find a suitable property in Uttarakhand for the past three years but had been unable to do so.

The cricketer said he wanted to return to his roots and eventually contribute to the development of the state. Expressing his affection for Uttarakhand, Pant wrote that he 'love[s] my Uttarakhand' and wants to move back to his 'Pahadi people'.

Pant also raised concerns over the difficulties surrounding land acquisition in the state, describing the process as a 'nightmare' due to a lack of clarity.

The cricketer, who has previously promoted Uttarakhand and its interests, also referred to land he said he was supposedly expected to receive during that period, but did not elaborate further.

'I have been trying to buy land to shift my base from Delhi to Uttarakhand and I couldn’t find anything facilitating and big to live here,' Pant wrote in his appeal to Dhami.

He urged the CM to personally look into the matter, saying he wanted to relocate to Uttarakhand and work towards building and contributing to his home state.

'I wanna move back to my native place to help and built around Uttarakhand, and I want to shift back to my Pahadi people,' Pant said.

The 28-year-old concluded by asking Dhami to look into his request and provide a response, stressing that his efforts to find land had continued for three years.
