India’s Agni-1 ballistic missile meets all parameters in successful trial

New Delhi: India successfully test-fired the short-range ballistic missile Agni-1 on Friday from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Odisha, the defence ministry said. The launch was carried out as part of routine operational validation.

Operational and technical parameters validated

According to the ministry, the test confirmed key performance benchmarks of the system.

“The test was carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command,” the ministry said.

Agni missile series deployment details

The ministry also noted that Agni 1 to 4 missiles have ranges between 700 km and 3,500 km, and have already been deployed.
