Epic 5-minute railway help: Passengers celebrate faulty charger fix like a mass BGM scene | WATCH

Thiruvananthapuram: A viral incident aboard the Ten Jam Express has brought attention to the quick-response services of Indian Railways. A group of passengers noticed a faulty charging point around 5:27 PM and promptly called the railway helpline. To their surprise, a mechanic arrived in just five minutes.
The passengers, a group of young men from Kerala, were visibly impressed, praising and shaking hands with the mechanic after the problem was fixed.
Their reaction, accompanied by the popular song “Vidaamuyarchi - Pathikichu” in the background, gave the video a mass, celebratory feel.
Netizens are lauding the railways’ quick action. One user commented, “A big kudos to the young boy for taking the initiative and to Indian Railways for the 15-minute response time!” Another added, “I called for a similar issue, and it was addressed in 10 minutes. I once called the police helpline as unreserved passengers were being noisy — they came in 20 minutes. Railways has improved a lot!”
Some responses added humour to the viral clip. One user jokingly wrote, “Indian Railways fixing something in 15 minutes? Bro called the Avengers Hotline, not 139!”
The video also resonated with passengers who experienced timely intervention in more serious situations. A user shared, “I was traveling alone overnight, and a drunk man started harassing me. I called the helpline, and a Ticket Collector came, slapped the man, and the in-charge checked on me at the next stop. It felt really reassuring to see the staff act promptly.”
The viral video has now been widely shared and retweeted across social media platforms, earning praise on how quick action can enhance the passenger experience on Indian Railways.
