The Indian Army has achieved a major milestone with a patent granted for its in-house innovation, “Vidyut Rakshak”, developed by Major Rajprasad R S.

This indigenous system enables integrated monitoring, protection and control of multiple generators and power systems, irrespective of their type, make, rating or vintage. The innovation helps optimise resources and enhances operational efficiency.

Where is it deployed?

Vidyut Rakshak is already being widely employed across the Indian Army, particularly in remote and high-altitude areas, strengthening operational capabilities and reinforcing the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
