What was the 2019 mandate in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi?

Bhupinder Singh Hooda won the seat in the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections as well by defeating Satish Nandal of the BJP by a staggering margin of 58,312 votes, securing 39.26 percent of the total votes cast. What are the issues for Garhi Sampla-Kiloi residents this election?

With an electorate of approximately 1.6 lakh, local issues such as water supply and infrastructure development are key concerns. Hooda’s long-standing influence and political legacy have secured him a loyal voter base, and recent developments did not change that.

Hooda maintained a positive outlook regarding his party's performance in the Haryana Assembly elections. "As per the input I have with me, we are touching the majority. Congress is getting the majority. There are several seats that we have won...but the same is yet to be updated..." Hooda told reporters here as the Election Commission continued posting results from the counting of votes that began at 8 am today.

"I have news that counting is stopped at several places. We are getting the majority...This is a game, the ball is sometimes here, sometimes there but we will do the final goal," Hooda said.

As of 2:45 pm, Election Commission data indicated that Congress had secured 9 seats and was leading in 27 others, while the BJP had won 4 seats and was leading in 44. The Indian National Lok Dal was ahead in two seats, the Bahujan Samaj Party in one, and independents were leading in three of the total 90 Assembly seats in the state.
