Haryana Election Results: BJP's Satpal Sangwan wins in Charkhi

Charkhi Dadri is an important rural area in Haryana that will be closely watched in the upcoming 2024 elections. The contest is expected to be fierce, with several candidates vying for the position.

The seat was won by BJP's Sunil Satpal Sangawan who received 65568 votes. INC's Manisha Sangwan received 63611 votes; winning margin was around 1957 votes.

Sunil Sangwan, son of former cabinet minister Satpal Sangawan (BJP) and Manisha Sangwan (INC) are contesting for the constituency.

As of  2019, the total number of voters in the Charkhi Dadri constituency, including general, overseas, proxy, and postal voters, was 126,556. 

Who won the last election?

In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Sombir (Independent) won this seat, defeating Satpal Sangwan (Jannayak Janta Party) by a margin of 14,272 votes, which was 11.28 percent of the total votes cast. The Independent candidate received a vote share of 34.66 percent.

In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, Rajdeep (Indian National Lok Dal - INLD) won the seat by defeating Somvir (BJP) with a margin of 1,610 votes, representing 1.22 percent of the total votes cast. The INLD had a vote share of 32.82 percent.
