Five killed in bus-van collision in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur

Tamil Nadu: A major road accident claimed five lives in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus collided with a van on Wednesday.

According to police reports, the collision occurred around 8 pm on the Nagapattinam-Tiruchi Highway.

All five deceased were travelling in the van and died on the spot. Among the victims was a woman. Two others in the van sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police have stated that efforts are underway to identify the victims. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
