If you are planning to file an EPF claim, download your passbook, check your claim status or complete UAN-related formalities this week, you may have to wait.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has temporarily suspended several online services on its Member Portal, Employer Portal and the UMANG app as part of a scheduled system migration. The maintenance exercise began at 12 am on June 26 and will continue until 11:59 pm on June 30, 2026.

During this period, members and employers will be unable to log into the EPFO's online platforms, making several key services inaccessible. According to the EPFO, the migration is aimed at upgrading its digital infrastructure to offer faster, more reliable and secure services once the system is restored.

Which EPFO services will not work till June 30?

The temporary shutdown will affect a wide range of services used by both employees and employers.

For EPFO members, the following services will remain unavailable:

  • Filing fresh EPF withdrawal or settlement claims
  • Tracking the status of existing EPF claims
  • Viewing or downloading the EPF e-Passbook
  • UAN-related online services for newly joined employees, including account linking
  • Several EPFO services available through the UMANG mobile application

For employers, these services will be affected:

  • Filing the Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR)
  • Online employer portal services, including member-related processing

EPFO services on UMANG app also affected

The outage also extends to the government's UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) app, which offers a range of EPFO services through smartphones.

Until the migration is completed, users will not be able to access services such as:

  • Checking PF balance
  • Filing EPF claims
  • Tracking claim status
  • Applying for a Scheme Certificate
  • Applying for a Universal Account Number (UAN)
  • Linking Aadhaar with UAN
  • Searching establishments
  • Viewing EPFO office details
  • Registering grievances
  • Applying for the Jeevan Pramaan certificate

When will EPFO services resume?

The scheduled migration is expected to conclude on June 30, with all online services likely to become operational again from July 1, 2026, if the upgrade is completed as planned.
