Earthquake of magnitude 3.2 strikes Faridabad, Haryana; no damage reported

New Delhi: A 3.2 magnitude earthquake was reported in Faridabad, Haryana, at 6:00 am IST on Tuesday. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed the tremor occurred at a shallow depth of 5 kilometres.

The exact coordinates of the quake were latitude 28.29°N and longitude 77.21°E, as per the NCS’s post on social media platform X. While the tremor was felt by some residents in the region, there have been no immediate reports of damage to infrastructure or injuries.

Earthquakes of this magnitude are generally considered minor and are unlikely to cause structural damage, though they may be felt in the immediate vicinity of the epicentre.

Authorities have not issued any warnings or advisories following the incident, and seismic activity in the region is being monitored.
