Delhi traffic alert: Which roads face curbs, diversions on Wednesday for BRICS rehearsal?
New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions in central Delhi on Wednesday from 10 am to 3 pm for a motorcade rehearsal ahead of the BRICS Summit.
The rehearsal is expected to affect traffic movement on several key roads. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time and use public transport, particularly the Metro, where possible.
Traffic personnel will guide motorists along designated diversion routes during the rehearsal. Emergency and essential-service vehicles will be given priority passage.
Roads likely to face traffic restrictions
According to the Traffic Police, slow traffic is likely on several major roads, including:

- Teen Murti Marg
- Akbar Road
- Tees January Marg
- Rajesh Pilot Marg
- Subramaniam Bharti Marg
- Mathura Road
- Moti Lal Nehru Marg
- Dr Zakir Hussain Marg
- Africa Avenue Road
- Satya Marg and Shanti Path
- Janpath and Ashoka Road
- Barakhamba Road and Tolstoy Marg
- Ranjeet Singh Flyover
- Niti Marg and Panchsheel Marg
- Kemal Attaturk Marg
- APJ Abdul Kalam Road
- Press Enclave Road
- Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg

22 diversion points planned for BRICS Summit
The Traffic Police have planned diversions at 22 points for the BRICS Summit, which is scheduled from September 11 to 13. Traffic movement will be regulated on more than 35 roads during the summit.
Key diversion points include Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk, Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk, Patel Chowk, the RML Hospital roundabout, Dhaula Kuan flyover, Moti Bagh flyover, Lodhi Road intersections, Mathura Road, Ring Road-Bhairon Road and Mandi House.
Other diversion points include Janpath and Connaught Place, Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Connaught Place, Vande Matram Marg-Simon Bollivar Marg, Neela Gumbad, Under Oberoi Flyover and Under Lodhi Flyover.

The Traffic Police have urged commuters to follow instructions from traffic personnel and use designated diversion routes during the rehearsal.
