‘User not found’: CJP Instagram account restored after takedown claim

The official Instagram account of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been restored after founder Abhijeet Dipke claimed that the handle had been removed from the platform.

Dipke said on Saturday that the official CJP Instagram account had been taken down and shared screenshots showing the page as unavailable with a “User not found” message.

In a post on X, Dipke wrote, “They took down the official Instagram handle of Cockroach Janta Party. Bloody cowards!”

The CJP's official X account later confirmed that the Instagram handle had been recovered.

“CJP Instagram handle was taken down this morning. But we have been able to successfully recover the account,” the account said.

The party also alleged that its opponents had chosen Independence Day to try to silence the movement.

Earlier social media access issue

This is not the first time Dipke has reported problems with his social media accounts.

In May, he claimed that his personal Instagram account had been hacked and that a backup account associated with CJP had also been taken down. He had also said at the time that he had lost access to his Instagram account.

The group says teams will visit villages and encourage residents and sarpanchs to identify and address gaps in school infrastructure.
