Swing ride collapses at Chait Barni Fair in UP; several injured | VIDEO

Kushinagar: A major accident occurred on Wednesday at the Chait Barni Fair in Kushinagar’s Khadda area after a swing ride collapsed while in operation, leaving several people injured.

Those injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, while emergency services launched immediate relief and rescue operations at the scene.

Speaking to ANI, Khadda MLA Vivekanand Pandey confirmed the incident and said authorities were ensuring prompt medical attention for all those affected.

He stated that individuals with minor injuries were being treated locally, while more serious cases were referred to the district hospital. Officials, he added, were making every effort to ensure proper medical care for all victims.

Pandey also expressed concern for the injured and said prayers were being offered for their swift recovery.

Police and district administration teams reached the site shortly after the incident, with emergency services, including medical and fire personnel deployed to manage the situation and assist those injured.

The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation, and authorities have urged fair-goers to cooperate with rescue teams as operations continue.
